GreenStep Approved As An Affiliate Member Of The United Nations World Tourism Organization
Joins 39 new members from Africa, the Americas, East Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East
Samarkand, Uzbekistan: Today, at the 25th Session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Kelowna, British Columbia-based GreenStep Solutions’ candidature as an Affiliate Member of the UNWTO was officially approved.“The UNWTO considers the private sector as an important partner in fulfilling its general mandate for the promotion of sustainable tourism development and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda,” stated UNWTO Affiliate Member Director, Ion Vilcu, in his official welcome.
“Within this context, we recognize the great potential of the collaboration with your entity to contribute towards the creation of a more ethical and responsible tourism sector, for the benefit of the international community.” This principal gathering of the UNWTO brought together high-level officials and tourism leaders alongside leading representatives from the public and private sectors, local authorities, academia and media.
