Helping organizations decarbonize since 2008

Since our inception in 2008, it has been our mission to help organizations improve their sustainability performance by measuring and reducing their carbon footprint, and creating collaborative climate action, and circular and regenerative strategies.

As we remain steadfastly dedicated to our mission, it only makes sense that we help lead the way by example and practice what we preach.

Sustainability is embedded in everything we do. Guided by three pillars of Environmental, Social, and Governance, our third-party certifications and global initiatives reflect our verified progress and accountability. We are proud to walk the talk and contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.

Our 2025 Impact Report

Our environmental commitments

We take measurable, science-aligned action to reduce our environmental impact and support a net-zero future. We have set a science-based greenhouse gas reduction target following the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) SME Pathway. This means we have committed to measuring and reducing our Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 carbon footprint.

We have established a near-term target to reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 100 percent by 2030. We have also set a long-term target to reduce our combined Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 90 percent by 2050.

  • We measure our carbon footprint and update our climate action plan each year
  • The carbon emissions we can’t reduce, we offset

Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge

As a participant in Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge, GreenStep has pledged to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or earlier, guided by credible climate plans and transparent reporting.

The Climate Label Certified by The Change Climate Project

GreenStep is Climate Label Certified, a certification and standard run by The Change Climate Project (TCCP). Each year, we measure cradle-to-customer emissions and fund high-quality GHG reduction and removal projects that match our operational footprint.
