To begin the stakeholder engagement process, and in order to gain valuable insight and feedback from tourism operators regarding their challenges, goals, and needs when it comes to sustainability, GreenStep has developed a customer engagement process that includes a survey and the facilitation and delivery of stakeholder workshops in order to solicit feedback ahead of the development of an action plan.
We suggest that the stakeholder engagement take place prior to the finalization of a long-term sustainability strategy. This feedback will be valuable in gaining an understanding of what areas of support the stakeholder businesses are looking for.

The dashboard aggregates assessment data to offer a summary of results by geographic area, by sector, or overall. This online tool is customized for your destination and is updated in real time as new data becomes available. By encouraging businesses to complete a free sustainability assessment, you will gain insight into how your destination is performing and where there is opportunity for support programs to be offered. The data collected from across the country will also be shown as an average benchmark in each category and sub-category, allowing you to see how your region compares to the national average. The aggregated data found in the Destination Dashboard will show you trends within the sectors across your geographic region, allowing you to see progress year over year, as each business is encouraged to measure their performance annually.
