Our People

Angela Nagy

President & CEO

Angela is a sustainability expert with more than 20 years of experience in project management, business development, marketing and public relations. She has lived and traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada, working with all levels of business, utilities, as well as various levels of governments, on a variety of engineering, energy efficiency, environmental and sustainability related projects.

Angela’s experience also includes politics, and she was elected to Kelowna City Council and appointed as a Regional District Director in 2008, the same year she co-founded GreenStep. 

She is certified in Organizational GHG Accounting and as a Sustainability Practitioner through The Natural Step. 

Andrew Weibe

Chief Technology Officer

Andrew leads the development side of GreenStep’s sister company, EcoBase Solutions, which includes our carbon software and lifecycle analysis tools. With more than 15 years working on climate analysis and emissions inventories, he also has extensive experience in developing high-performance computing infrastructures, using emergent internet technologies, big data, and numerical modelling. 

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Biology from the University of Canterbury. Andrew is a current member of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanic Society and the former chairperson of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanic Society – Queensland.

Nicole Huard

Senior Project Manager

Nicole is a sustainability specialist with experience as an auditor, analyst, project manager and consultant within the waste management and property management industries.  Nicole has gained international knowledge and experience from work, travel and studies throughout Asia, Australia and Scotland.

With an MSc Sustainability and Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland), Nicole has also obtained a Certificate in Energy Management from the University of Toronto, is a LEED Green Associate, and has been trained in GHG quantification by the Carbon Trust (UK) and in Standard Waste Auditing Methods by the Recycling Council of Ontario. 

Dylan Tomlin

Senior energy advisor

While Dylan spends most of his time working as the FortisBC Energy Analyst for our partner, the BC Hotel Association, he also delivers our EcoFund program and other contracts to drive energy and cost savings for businesses.

Dylan is an energy conservation professional and a Certified Energy Manager with 16 years of experience. He has designed and delivered incentive programs for demand side management and emissions reduction programs,  and is a trusted advisor in identifying and prioritizing capital projects that reduce energy consumption and maximize incentives.

Razzaq Mohammed

Eco Programs Technician

As an Eco Programs Technician and Business Energy Advisor, Razzaq supports GreenStep’s utility, business, government, and non-profit clients to implement energy, water, and waste conservation measures that save money, reduce inefficiency, and cut carbon. 

Razzaq earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology, and his Master of Engineering Leadership, Clean Energy Engineering, from the University of British Columbia.  He is also a Certified Energy Manager, and a LEED Green Associate. 

Jodi Cochrane

Financial Administrator

Jodi takes care of the numbers at GreenStep. She has more than 20 years professional experience in such roles as Controller and Senior Financial Analyst.

Jodi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal College and is also a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Pamela Duynstee

Program Dev. Manager

Pamela works with our clients and stakeholders across the tourism industry to develop, enhance and deliver the Sustainable Tourism 2030 certification programs for businesses and destinations. She is passionate about tourism as a force for good, and seeks to support the industry in achieving their sustainability goals. With an MSc in Tourism and International Development, Pamela has a range of experience in project management and sustainability in the industry including working with hospitality, adventure travel, and non-profit organizations.

Ryan Cope

Project Coordinator

Ryan gets the word out about our work and our clients, and also supports the coordination and delivery of our consulting contracts. She brings a passion for the environment, knowledge of communicating environmental and scientific subject matter to a layman’s audience, and experience in fields of waste diversion and other biological sciences. Ryan completed her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science at the University of Maine. Ryan’s passion is to educate the masses about the importance of reducing their use of plastics and plastic pollution.

Shaylyn Robertson

Marketing & Sustainable Tourism Coordinator

Shaylyn supports research and marketing related to our Sustainable Tourism division, helping to grow our impacts as we expand our sustainable tourism assessment and certification programs for tourism destinations and businesses in Canada and globally.  

She is an experienced economic development and communications professional with a history of working in the civic and social organization industry. She brings a skill set in  community development, tourism marketing, branding, and partnership development. Shay graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Economics/International Studies, and International Development from the University of Northern British Columbia.

Katie Mallard

Eco Programs Support

Katie supports our waste reduction contracts, helping to conduct waste audits and other services that improve waste diversion and recycling. She also supports GreenStep’s projects, programs, and clients in the areas of measuring and reducing environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Earth, Environmental and Geographic Sciences from the University of British Columbia. 

Interns

Vanshika Jotsinghani

Marketing Intern

Vanshika supports GreenStep’s EcoFund program by helping to measure the positive impacts of the energy retrofit projects our customers are able to implement with their EcoFund.  She quantifies the reductions in energy costs and carbon footprints, and builds case studies to help to inspire other businesses to do the same.

Through the Vancouver School of Economics and the UBC Sauder School of Business, Vanshika is completing her Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics (BIE), a program that is focused on economics, finance, mathematics, and commerce.

Associates & Advisors

Dr. Joe Kelly

Associate

Dr. Joe Kelly is an educator, consultant, and innovator in sustainability and social change. He has 20 years of experience providing consulting and advisory services to a wide range of businesses, governments and non-profit organizations. From 2009 to 2019, Joe served on the Faculty of Global and Community Studies at Capilano University in Vancouver, Canada. He teaches university courses and corporate workshops on how to think and act like a change-maker. Additionally, he has written numerous articles for mainstream media outlets and academic journals, and has presented to audiences around the globe. He holds a doctoral degree in resource and environmental management, and bachelor and master’s degrees in statistics. Personally, Joe is actively involved in community service and has led several volunteer committees and initiatives.

Fraser Campbell

Advisor

Fraser Campbell is a serial entrepreneur who has participated in several startups, rollouts, mergers and acquisitions over the last 25 years, with his partners in First Growth Management. He has been involved in corporate structure, strategic planning, change management, and business systems across Canada and the US within several service industries such as warehousing, aviation, construction, oil and gas, and defence and public security.
