President & CEO
Angela is a sustainability expert with more than 20 years of experience in project management, business development, marketing and public relations. She has lived and traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada, working with all levels of business, utilities, as well as various levels of governments, on a variety of engineering, energy efficiency, environmental and sustainability related projects.
Angela’s experience also includes politics, and she was elected to Kelowna City Council and appointed as a Regional District Director in 2008, the same year she co-founded GreenStep.
She is certified in Organizational GHG Accounting and as a Sustainability Practitioner through The Natural Step.
Chief Technology Officer
Andrew leads the development side of GreenStep’s sister company, EcoBase Solutions, which includes our carbon software and lifecycle analysis tools. With more than 15 years working on climate analysis and emissions inventories, he also has extensive experience in developing high-performance computing infrastructures, using emergent internet technologies, big data, and numerical modelling.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Biology from the University of Canterbury. Andrew is a current member of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanic Society and the former chairperson of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanic Society – Queensland.
Senior Project Manager
Nicole is a sustainability specialist with experience as an auditor, analyst, project manager and consultant within the waste management and property management industries. Nicole has gained international knowledge and experience from work, travel and studies throughout Asia, Australia and Scotland.
With an MSc Sustainability and Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland), Nicole has also obtained a Certificate in Energy Management from the University of Toronto, is a LEED Green Associate, and has been trained in GHG quantification by the Carbon Trust (UK) and in Standard Waste Auditing Methods by the Recycling Council of Ontario.
Senior energy advisor
While Dylan spends most of his time working as the FortisBC Energy Analyst for our partner, the BC Hotel Association, he also delivers our EcoFund program and other contracts to drive energy and cost savings for businesses. Dylan is an energy conservation professional and a Certified Energy Manager with 16 years of experience. He has designed and delivered incentive programs for demand side management and emissions reduction programs, and is a trusted advisor in identifying and prioritizing capital projects that reduce energy consumption and maximize incentives.
Program Dev. Manager
Pamela works with our clients and stakeholders across the tourism industry to develop, enhance and deliver the Sustainable Tourism 2030 certification programs for businesses and destinations. She is passionate about tourism as a force for good, and seeks to support the industry in achieving their sustainability goals. With an MSc in Tourism and International Development, Pamela has a range of experience in project management and sustainability in the industry including working with hospitality, adventure travel, and non-profit organizations.
Ryan gets the word out about our work and our clients, and also supports the coordination and delivery of our consulting contracts. She brings a passion for the environment, knowledge of communicating environmental and scientific subject matter to a layman’s audience, and experience in fields of waste diversion and other biological sciences. Ryan completed her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science at the University of Maine. Ryan’s passion is to educate the masses about the importance of reducing their use of plastics and plastic pollution.
Business Energy Advisor
As a Business Energy Advisor, David supports GreenStep’s utility, business, government, and non-profit clients to implement energy conservation measures and other positive changes that save money, reduce inefficiency, and cut carbon. He has helped hundreds of businesses to date. David completed his Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering at Carleton University, and is a LEED Green Associate. David’s vision to mesh our built environment compatibly into the natural, living environment around us.
Jodi takes care of the numbers at GreenStep. She has more than 20 years professional experience in such roles as Controller and Senior Financial Analyst.
Jodi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal College and is also a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Eco Programs Technican
Myles supports GreenStep’s clients in the identification of opportunities that help them meet their sustainability goals and reduce their environmental energy, water and waste impacts. As an electrical engineering graduate from the University of British Columbia, and with supplemental courses through Uppsala University, Myles tailored his degree towards renewable energy and sustainable development. Shortly after graduation, he worked with a small independent power producer, where he had the opportunity to learn many different aspects of project management and sustainable design.
Eco Programs Technician
As an Eco Programs Technician, Jakub supports small businesses to improve the sustainability of their operations through the identification of opportunities to reduce their energy and water consumption and improve waste diversion. Jakub earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from the University of Guelph, and completed an internship with Suncor Energy in the maintenance department. Jakub has tailored his engineering degree to the study of sustainable energy and is passionate about making a change. In his spare time, Jakub loves to ride his bike, ski the mountain, run.
Eco Programs Coordinator
Ariel helps small to mid-sized businesses and multi-family buildings reduce their environmental impacts and operating costs by coordinating and delivering onsite energy assessments, energy efficiency education visits, waste and water audits, and waste infrastructure assessments. Ariel completed a Bachelor of Arts in Geography specializing in environment and sustainability at the University of British Columbia, and is currently pursuing further studies in Marketing Communications from BCIT. She has worked for local municipalities and utilities as well as in the non-profit sector in the fields of energy and water conservation, and environmental management. Ariel is passionate about building sustainable communities and believes that we can combine science, design and systems thinking to reshape our world and create a future where the well-being of both humans and the environment are maximized.
Sustainable Tourism Research & Marketing
Shaylyn supports research and marketing related to our Sustainable Tourism 2030 initiative, helping to grow our impacts as we expand our sustainable tourism assessment and certification programs for tourism destinations and businesses in Canada and globally. She is also supporting research looking at how B Corp criteria and Global Sustainable Tourism Council criteria related to each other and tourism businesses.
She is an experienced economic development and communications professional with a history of working in the civic & social organization industry. She brings a skill set in community development, tourism marketing, branding, and partnership development Shay graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Economics/International Studies, and International Development from the University of Northern British Columbia.
Waste Reduction Specialist & Office Support
Katie supports our programs and contracts related to improving waste diversion and recycling, including the role of Commercial Waste Monitor at the Glenmore landfill. She also provides administrative support at GreenStep’s offices.
Katie earned a degree in Earth, Environmental and Geographic Sciences from the University of British Columbia.

Associates & Advisors
Dr. Joe Kelly
Dr. Joe Kelly is an educator, consultant, and innovator in sustainability and social change. He has 20 years of experience providing consulting and advisory services to a wide range of businesses, governments and non-profit organizations. From 2009 to 2019, Joe served on the Faculty of Global and Community Studies at Capilano University in Vancouver, Canada. He teaches university courses and corporate workshops on how to think and act like a change-maker. Additionally, he has written numerous articles for mainstream media outlets and academic journals, and has presented to audiences around the globe. He holds a doctoral degree in resource and environmental management, and bachelor and master’s degrees in statistics. Personally, Joe is actively involved in community service and has led several volunteer committees and initiatives.
Fraser Campbell is a serial entrepreneur who has participated in several startups, rollouts, mergers and acquisitions over the last 25 years, with his partners in First Growth Management. He has been involved in corporate structure, strategic planning, change management, and business systems across Canada and the US within several service industries such as warehousing, aviation, construction, oil and gas, and defence and public security.
Sean supports our utility, government and commercial customers through energy assessments, advisory services and project implementation, as well as sustainability assessments for our tourism programs. Sean earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree from Okanagan College, is a Certified Energy Manager, and has also obtained his LEED Green Associate credential. Sean is focused primarily on sustainability, clean technology, and energy management.
