Our People

Angela Nagy

President & CEO

Angela is a sustainability expert with more than 20 years of experience in project management, business development, marketing and public relations. She has lived and traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada, working with all levels of business, utilities, as well as various levels of governments, on a variety of engineering, energy efficiency, environmental and sustainability related projects.

Angela’s experience also includes politics, and she was elected to Kelowna City Council and appointed as a Regional District Director in 2008, the same year she co-founded GreenStep. 

She is certified in Organizational GHG Accounting and as a Sustainability Practitioner through The Natural Step. 

Andrew Weibe

Chief Technology Officer

Andrew leads the development side of GreenStep’s sister company, EcoBase Solutions, which includes our carbon software and lifecycle analysis tools. With more than 15 years working on climate analysis and emissions inventories, he has extensive experience in high-performance computing infrastructures and emergent internet technologies using big data and numerical modelling. 

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Biology from the University of Canterbury. Andrew is a current member of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanic Society and the former chairperson of the Australian Meteorological and Oceanic Society – Queensland.15

Nicole Huard

Senior Project Manager

Nicole is a sustainability specialist with experience as an auditor, analyst, project manager and consultant within the waste management and property management industries.  Nicole has gained international knowledge and experience from work, travel and studies throughout Asia, Australia and Scotland.

With an MSc Sustainability and Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland), Nicole has also obtained a Certificate in Energy Management from the University of Toronto, is a LEED Green Associate, and has been trained in GHG quantification by the Carbon Trust (UK) and in Standard Waste Auditing Methods by the Recycling Council of Ontario. 

Andrea Mackintosh

Project Manager

Andrea provides sustainability advisory services to our clients and manages several projects at GreenStep. Andrea completed her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at Royal Roads University after obtaining her diploma in Water Quality Technology and Environmental Engineering at Okanagan College. Andrea enjoys volunteering where she can make a difference. She coordinates several annual GreenStep volunteer events, such as shoreline and creek cleanups and our Adopt-a-Stream program.

Dylan Tomlin

Senior energy advisor

While Dylan spends most of his time working as the FortisBC Energy Analyst for our partner, the BC Hotel Association, he also delivers our EcoFund program and other contracts to drive energy and cost savings for businesses. Dylan is an energy conservation professional and a Certified Energy Manager with 16 years of experience. He has designed and delivered incentive programs for demand side management and emissions reduction programs,  and is a trusted advisor in identifying and prioritizing capital projects that reduce energy consumption and maximize incentives.

Sean McFetridge

Senior Energy Advisor

Sean supports our utility, government and commercial  customers through energy assessments, advisory services and project implementation, as well as sustainability assessments for our tourism programs. Sean earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree from Okanagan College, is a Certified Energy Manager, and has also obtained his LEED Green Associate credential. Sean is focused primarily on sustainability, clean technology, and energy management.

Pamela Duynstee

Program Dev. Manager

Pamela works with our clients and stakeholders across the tourism industry to develop, enhance and deliver the Sustainable Tourism 2030 certification programs for businesses and destinations. She is passionate about tourism as a force for good, and seeks to support the industry in achieving their sustainability goals. With an MSc in Tourism and International Development, Pamela has a range of experience in project management and sustainability in the industry including working with hospitality, adventure travel, and non-profit organizations.

David Hevey

Business Energy Advisor

As a Business Energy Advisor, David supports GreenStep’s utility, business, government, and non-profit clients to implement energy conservation measures and other positive changes that save money, reduce inefficiency, and cut carbon. He has helped hundreds of businesses to date. David completed his Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering at Carleton University, and is a LEED Green Associate. David’s vision to mesh our built environment compatibly into the natural, living environment around us. 

Ryan Cope


Ryan gets the word out about our work and our clients, and also supports the coordination and delivery of our consulting contracts. She brings a passion for the environment, knowledge of communicating environmental and scientific subject matter to a layman’s audience, and experience in fields of waste diversion and other biological sciences. Ryan completed her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science at the University of Maine. Ryan’s passion is to educate the masses about the importance of reducing their use of plastics and plastic pollution.

Laurie Brasnett

Office & Waste Coordinator

Laurie brings her passion for the environment and community waste reduction to the GreenStep team, supporting us in helping businesses and local governments reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. Her love for nature, order, details, and learning new things makes her a great fit. Laurie obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan with a focus on Human Sciences, Communications and Community Wellness. In her spare time, Laurie loves gardening, riding her bike, writing, and photography.

Dr. Joe Kelly


Joe has 20 years of professional experience in transportation and tourism and is well versed in climate change issues and strategies. As one of Canada’s leading experts on tourism and climate change, Joe has designed greenhouse gas inventories, carbon management plans and carbon offset programs for dozens of private and public sector clients. Joe teaches courses on environmental and climate stewardship at Capilano University, he has authored numerous articles, and he has presented at conferences around the world. In 2008, Joe was awarded the Charles R. Goeldner Article of Excellence Award by the Travel and Tourism Research Association. Joe holds a PhD in Resource and Environmental Management, and a Bachelor and Master Degree in Statistics.

Jodi Cochrane

Financial Administrator

Jodi takes care of the numbers at GreenStep. She has more than 20 years professional experience in such roles as Controller and Senior Financial Analyst.

Jodi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal College and is also a Charted Professional Accountant.
