Destination Northern Ontario

Destination Northern Ontario is the largest of 13 Regional Tourism Organizations funded by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. The organization plays a key role in building a strong tourism industry across Northern Ontario by coordinating, aligning, and investing in sub-regional programs, as well as leading pan-northern management functions. Its core areas of focus include product development, marketing, workforce development and industry training, investment attraction, and partnership initiatives.

Through comprehensive research and insights, Destination Northern Ontario supports industry partners, government, media, and educational institutions with valuable data to enhance marketing and development strategies. The organization also operates Northern Ontario Travel, a leading digital platform for Ontario travellers, and collaborates with communities, operators, and advisors to strengthen the region’s tourism sector and attract millions of visitors each year.
