Mount St. Louis Moonstone is one of the largest family-owned ski resorts in Ontario, located north of Barrie and approximately one hour from Toronto. Established in 1964, the resort offers over 35 ski and snowboard runs across roughly 70+ hectares of terrain, with modern lift infrastructure, terrain parks, and night skiing, making it a premier winter recreation destination in the region.
Alongside its recreational offerings, the resort has made commitments to improving environmental performance and supporting sustainable tourism. Mount St. Louis Moonstone has adopted a Sustainable Tourism 2030 pledge, which focuses on reducing environmental impacts, measuring sustainability performance each season, and supporting local communities and the ski industry. Initiatives include large-scale tree planting (over 12,000 trees planted in recent years) to reduce erosion and enhance local ecosystems, as well as partnerships and fundraising initiatives that support local non-profit organizations and community projects.
Through ongoing investments in modern infrastructure, long-term planning for four-season recreation, and environmental stewardship initiatives, Mount St. Louis Moonstone aims to balance business growth with responsible outdoor tourism and the protection of the natural environment in Ontario’s snowbelt region.
