Fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e par les voix de la communaut\u00e9 il y a plus de 25 ans, la mission de l&rsquo;ACOT est de \u00ab d\u00e9velopper et mettre en \u0153uvre une vision collective pour une industrie touristique durable et de classe mondiale dans l&rsquo;Eeyou Istchee \u00bb. Cette certification r\u00e9affirme cet engagement.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0Ce tourisme durable a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 notre engagement \u00e0 sauvegarder les terres, les communaut\u00e9s et la culture cries pour les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Anderson Jolly, pr\u00e9sident de la COTA. \u00ab Le processus de certification de GreenStep a suscit\u00e9 d&rsquo;importantes conversations sur la fa\u00e7on dont nous engageons les gens, servons nos communaut\u00e9s et faisons cro\u00eetre notre industrie touristique d&rsquo;une mani\u00e8re responsable et ax\u00e9e sur les valeurs. L&rsquo;\u00e9valuation a port\u00e9 sur des aspects cl\u00e9s de la durabilit\u00e9 du tourisme, notamment l&rsquo;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 culturelle, l&rsquo;impact sur l&rsquo;environnement et les avantages pour la communaut\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l\u2019Association crie de pourvoirie et de tourisme en tant que premi\u00e8re organisation de gestion de destinations autochtones au Canada \u00e0 obtenir la certification Argent de GreenStep pour le tourisme durable \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Angela Nagy, pr\u00e9sidente-directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de GreenStep. \u00ab Cela refl\u00e8te pleinement l&rsquo;engagement de COTA envers l&rsquo;intendance, l&rsquo;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 culturelle et le leadership communautaire. Obtenir la certification Argent de GreenStep est une preuve \u00e9loquente du leadership autochtone en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement durable.
